Re-imagining imagination for young children
why is this important?
The Play Place children's toys will engage your child in endless hours of play through open ended materials. These mini world constructions are designed and created by Carrie Rose who has been an qualified early childhood teacher for over 30+ years. Carrie wants to encourage families and educators to engage children in imaginative play to support strong brain development, cognition, language, social and emotional development in the formative years of play.
The neurological processes behind pretend play
Children are born with a natural curiosity for the world and how people interact.
When children are engaged in imaginative play, they are building their brains.
'Studies show children who engage in pretend play during their preschool years are more creative and innovative some years later. Children are natural scientists, born ready to experiment and learn through play. Their discoveries not only adapt the structure of their brains but also strengthen the skills they need to be engaged, flexible learners for their whole lives.'

Through imaginative play children learn critical thinking skills, how to follow simple directions, build expressive and receptive language, increase social skills and learn how manage their emotions.
All critical skills for when they start school.
Completely mobile, these kits can be used at home or taken away easily on holidays to provide hours of imaginative play for your child.
Kits are recommended for children 4 years+ and used with adult supervision.
